Welcome to Thunder Hop, this was started by the NZMTG due to how many of our members had a custom car or hot rod and wanted to attend social events throughout the year.

So, if it looks good it will probably sound great too, we don't care what year or make it is, but we do care that you are a social custom car owner as we don't allow Grumpy Bastards at our events.

The NZMTG was started in 20215 and has held over 100 social events to date.

Thunder Hop was set up just after covert / lock down as our members wanted to attend social fun events, with a number of great social events already being held to date.

We are set up to cater for social custom car owners and also have events open for the public to attend at times.

If you just like racing and want to sit around and bitch and moan then we are very pleased to say we are not for you, join another group it's that easy.

But if you want to start attending fun events with social custom car owners then you have found the right group.

Some of our events we limit the numbers that can attend to make them more social as that's what our members have asked for as big is not always best when it comes to holding social events.
